There are many ways in which the Guild assists the community.
Several members spend a considerable amount of time to produce wooden toys. These are bundled up each Christmas, and given to a local charitable group for distribution with hampers to the needy. The toys are bright, attractive and functional.
We manufacture all manner of resale items, raffle prizes and trophies for sporting, benevolent and charity groups as the need arises. Within the North Pine Country Park area, we have assisted the North Pine Potters by making a bronze sundial for the paved cairn that they erected near their clubhouse. The Fire Brigades Museum assist us with some scrap metal, and we make small brass helmets and brass fire axes for them to sell and display. They have also been supplied with a bell for one vintage appliance. Our members have helped them with building modifications in the past.
The Qld Steam and Vintage Machinery Society are constantly requiring replacement handles, bushes, and the like, for their antique machinery and steam engines. They also receive raffle prizes at times.
We assist the Pine Rivers Pony Club with raffle prizes and lucky number prizes for their gymkhanas and for their associated charity, Riding for the Disabled. The products are usually in the form of boot jacks, mirror frames fully mounted, wall mounted key holders fitted with a horse head.
Other recipients have been Zillmere Eagles Football Club, Prince Charles Hospital, Queensland Country Womens Association
